Nurse
The Practice Nurse is available in Albert Street during normal surgery hours for minor procedures such as minor injuries, immunizations, ear syringing, BP checks, cervical smears, travel advice and general advice when it is considered unnecessary to see the doctor.
The treatment room at Carrick Hill Medical Centre is staffed by Nurses from the North and West Belfast Trust.
The treatment room nurse is availble by appointment each morning from 8.30am – 12.00pm Monday to Friday and in the afternoon from 2:00pm – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday.
When ringing to book an appointment with the nurse please inform the reception staff the reason for your appointment as some procedures require more than 10 minutes routine appointment time.
Blood Tests: Blood tests can be booked with the practice nurse or in the treatment room. All patients should book for their tests in the morning as the samples are taken to the RVH at lunchtime (Fasting bloods require patients to fast from 10pm the night before).
